See ya in 50 games, Melky Cabrera! The San Francisco Giants outfielder—who was named the MVP of the 2012 MLB All-Star Game—was just suspended for 50 games after violating MLB's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. He tested positive for testosterone and, surprisingly, he owned up to it earlier today.
"My positive test was the result of my use of a substance I should not have used," he said in a statement. "I am deeply sorry for my mistake."
Wow. It took them long enough. But, MLB finally nailed a San Francisco Giants player for using a performance-enhancing drug! Bravo.
