In less than a month, Adrian Peterson will be getting crushed by defensive players left and right—less than nine months after suffering a terrible knee injury. But, for now, the Minnesota Vikings have a very simple message for their defensive players: Touch AP in practice...and you're dead!
Er, okay. So, maybe the message isn't that harsh. But, it may as well be. What the Vikings have actually told their D is the equivalent of the death penalty in the life of an NFL player.
"The rules are simple," Vikings safety Jamarca Sanford said today. "Do not touch 28 [Peterson]. If you touch him, you're cut."
So, who's gonna be the first player to accidentally bump AP? We'll let you know…
