How would you like to win the autograph of an NBA player—only to be told by the player himself that the autograph is fake? Or, better yet, how'd you like to win the autograph of an NBA player at Michael Jordan's basketball camp—only to be told by the player himself that the autograph is fake? Well, that's exactly what just happened to basketball fan Karim Khatib, who won a pair of Dwyane Wade's autographed signature sneakers at MJ's camp recently. He took to his Twitter account yesterday to show the world what he'd won…and then got the bad news from D-Wade himself.
"Won @DwyaneWade signed shoes at Michael Jordan's flight school," Khatib tweeted.
"That's cool," Wade replied a few minutes later. "If only tht was my real signature."
Damn, MJ! Isn't D-Wade signed to your brand? You couldn't have made sure that he actually, you know, signed the sneakers before you gave them away to a "lucky" fan? Let's just hope you do the right thing and send him a pair with Wade's real signature. Oh, and a pair of those "Fire Red" Jordan IVs might be nice, too. Just sayin'. At this point, you do kinda owe it to this kid to do something nice for him.
