With this summer's 2012 Olympic Games opening in London tomorrow, our nation's patriotism is at its bi-yearly fever pitch. So, to help celebrate that patriotic spirit, we here at Complex have decided to shine a spotlight on some of this great nation's finest female Olympians. And yes, we mean finest in more ways than one.

Sure, you may have already Googled pictures of Hope Solo or Alex Morgan, but when it comes to sexy U.S. Olympians, trust us, they're just the tip of the iceberg. They don't call it "America the Beautiful" for nothing.

Sport: Taekwondo

This Texas beauty was once a standout high school volleyball player, but after graduation, she realized that she’d rather kick ass than spike balls. This isn’t that awful Karate Kid sequel where a young Hilary Swank learns martial arts to stay out of trouble. Oh no. This is real life, baby. And Diana Lopez is ready to kick her competition in the face and take home the gold!

Olympic volleyball is in Misty May-Treanor’s blood. Not only is she already a two time gold medalist, but her father competed in the same sport in the 1968 games. Her career hit a bit of a speed bump after she ruptured her Achilles tendon while competing on Dancing with the Stars, but now she’s all healed up and ready to head to London so that she can win her third consecutive gold medal.

Some hot 18-year-olds girl graduate high school and then go to Cancun for the summer. Not Reed Kessler. Unless we’re drastically mistaken, we don’t think there will be any wet t-shirt contests in Reed’s future this summer. Reed, and her trusty steed Cylana, are headed to London to compete in their first Olympic games. Giddy up!

We defy you to find a hotter javelin specialist than Kara Patterson. She set the American record at the 2010 US Outdoor Championships, and there’s a fighting chance she’ll beat her own record this summer in London.

If every beach volleyball player looked even half as good as Jen Kessy, we’d be sunburnt to death right now. Making her Olympic debut at this year’s games, Jen is one of only six American women to have won over one-million dollars in career earnings. A hot millionaire Olympian? She can be our sugar momma any day.

We’d let Amanda Furrer handle our weapon any day. Get your minds out of the gutter, people! She’s an award-winning marksman! This summer at the London games Amanda hopes to shoot her way to an awards ceremony.

This shouldn’t have been Jessica Hardy’s first Olympic games. This California girl actually qualified for the 2008 games in Beijing, but was removed from the roster following a supplement scandal. Luckily, in 2010, two long years later, she was vindicated and found innocent. This year, with more to prove than ever, Jessica’s looking to swim her way to the gold.

After winning a silver medal in 2008, Lauren Wenger is coming back for the gold. With a ripped and sexy swimmer’s body, this California native is one of the most versatile players on the U.S. team. We’d play marco polo with her any day of the week.

For the record, we hope like hell that the 2012 US Women’s Soccer team wins the gold. But, win, lose or draw, we can all take solace in the fact that we no doubt have the hottest soccer team of the year. Does Lithuania have a player even half as adorable as Amy Rodriguez? We think not.

After an amazing come from behind (insert “that’s what she said” joke here) victory in trials, the adorable Corey Cogdell earned a last minute spot on this year’s team, though that situation is nothing new to her. That’s exactly how she made it on the 2008 team, where she took home a bronze medal. Let’s hope history repeats itself.

Since fencing is done with a big steal mask in front of the lancer’s face, you’d never know if one of them is hot or not. That’s why we feel it’s our patriotic duty to inform our country that, yes, one of them is. Her name is Nicole Ross.

This three-time All-American at the University of Nebraska is ready to take London by storm this summer. It’s almost as if there was a swimsuit competition as part of the Olympic volleyball trials this year, as damn near the entire team is hot as hell! God bless America.

Gymnasts are generally thought of as being hot, and Aly Raisman is certainly no exception. Aly makes men all over the country wish that they were pommel horses. The 18-year-old gymnast is set to make her Olympic debut at this year's games.

Heather Mitts, a frequent sideline reporter for both soccer and college football, has already been to the Olympics. In both the 2004 and 2008 games, Heather came, Heather saw and Heather kicked some ass! She’s already won two gold medals and is out to capture her third this summer in London. We’re sure her husband, St. Louis Rams quarterback A.J. Feeley, will be cheering her on from the sidelines.

Standing over six feet tall, the sexy and statuesque Dana Vollmer has swimming ingrained in her DNA. In 2000, at only 12 years old, Dana became the youngest person to ever swim at an Olympic trial. When we were 12, we were playing Mario Kart and eating Mallomars. Dana wins.

The current ESPN Body Issue cover girl, Candace Parker is as hot as she is accomplished. Olympic gold medalist? Check. NCAA champion? Check. No. 1 WNBA draft pick? Check. The Olympics are nothing new to Logan Tom, as this year’s London games will mark the fourth time she’s represented her country. In fact, she was so dominant in Beijing that she wound up being the leading overall scorer. Aside from playing for the United States at The Olympics, Logan has competed professionally all over the world, including Brazil, Italy, Russia, Switzerland and Turkey.

We’d be lying if we said we knew what rhythmic gymnastics actually is. We don’t. We have a sneaking suspicion it’s kind of like what Will Ferrell did with the scarves at the end of Old School. We could be wrong. Who knows? All we know is that Julie Zetlin is crazy hot—so hot in fact that we, for the first time in our life, will be DVRing all of this year’s Olympic rhythmic gymnastics events.

With a runner’s body and a girl-next-door smile, Kara Goucher is getting ready for her second Olympic games. This new mom and award-winning marathon runner is ready to add an Olympic medal to her already staggering list of track & field achievements.

Hope Solo, perhaps the most well known female Olympian in this year’s games, has in many ways transcended her sport. This was never more evident than when she made it to the semifinals in the 13th season of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. With a model’s body and piercing blue eyes, Hope’s graced the pages of countless men’s magazines since winning her first gold medal in the 2008 games. We can only hope that if she’s ever solo, she’ll give us a call.

We’re of the opinion that 99% of all women named Chloe are hot, and Olympic swimmer Chloe Sutton does wonders to prove our point. At just 20 years old, Chloe’s already swam her way into one Olympic games, having competed at Beijing in 2008. If we ever happen to meet her, we’re totally planning on using our “Are your arms tired? Because you’ve been swimming through my mind all day” pick up line. Totally gonna work.

After her impressive World Cup debut in 2011, Alex Morgan has been a mainstay not only in the press, but also in the minds of men the nation over. Though she was nominated for a 2012 ESPY for Breakthrough Athlete of the Year, that’s not why most men remember Ms. Morgan. No, we tend to remember Alex from the pages of this past year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, where she appeared in body paint. Goal!

Natalie Coughlin, the third woman on this list to have appeared on Dancing with the Stars, is quite simply drop dead gorgeous. Oh, and she’s also a pretty good swimmer. She’s an 11-time Olympic medalist, and in 2008, she became the first female U.S. Olympian in modern history to win six medals at a single Games. Make no mistake about it, Natalie Coughlin is as talented as she is sexy.

Lolo Jones is often mistaken for being the sister of Parks & Recreation’s Rashida Jones. It’s an easy mistake, as they’re both ridiculously hot. Sadly, Lolo, whose real name is Lori, almost didn’t make it to this year’s games. In 2011, she underwent surgery for a tethered spinal cord. However, just a year later, Lolo will be running her heart out in London in an attempt to win her country a gold medal.
