President Obama wants to see Michael Vick do one thing a little more often next season: SLIDE!

At an event in Oakland earlier this week, Vick's teammate Nnamdi Asomugha introduced the President to the crowd. And, after the event was over, the Commander in Chief and one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL spent some time talking football. During that chat, President Obama had some sound advice for Asomugha's teammate.

"He told me to tell Vick to slide," Asomugha reported later, referring to Vick's penchant for fighting for one or two extra yards on plays—and suffering the consequences. "We talked about football for about three or four minutes and the one thing that stuck out, 'Tell Vick to slide.' He's a big fan."

After hearing about the President's advice, Vick had a response, too. He took to his Twitter account last night to say that he's taking it to heart.

If the President of the U.S is saying I need to slide then I really need to start sliding. Lol. Thanks Mr. President!

Now, will he actually do it? Well, that's a whole other issue. Guess we'll see soon when the 2012-13 NFL season kicks off.
