Mercedes' Formula One Division is Designing the Engine For the A-Class AMG

As if we weren't already excited enough.

None

For a good long while it looked Formula One was going to switch to four cylinder engines for 2012. Eventually, it was decided that the V6 engine was still where it's at even though many teams had already started working on four pots.

Mercedes' High Performance Engine division was one of those teams. Luckily for us, Mercedes has tapped into that project to provide the power for the upcoming A25 AMG, CLC25 AMG, and CLC25 Shooting Break AMG.

That's right, you'll be able to buy a compact, AWD Mercedes sportscar with a F1 derived engine. Sexy.
