The 2012 Summer Olympics are still six months away. But Ricky Rubio is already predicting that the men's basketball team from Spain is going to walk away with a gold medal. And after last night's Lakers/Timberwolves game, he ran into Kobe Bryant and proceeded to talk trash to him about it. Here's how it went down.
Bryant: "You talking about London?" [to Rubio and Pau Gasol]
Gasol: "Oh yeah."
Rubio: "You're gonna be there?"
Bryant: "Yeah."
Rubio: "You know you're getting the silver medal. You know that."
Bryant: "Shiiiiiiit! I'm taking bets. If I win, I get the keys of Barcelona."
Rubio: "I bet what you want."
Bryant: "I'll take it!"
Okay, Rubes. We see you out there talking shit to Kobe, and we salute you for it. But the team that the U.S. is sending is gonna make it pretty hard for you to back it up. So, you better watch what you say.
