Mizzou is soon headed to the SEC, so the players wanted to make sure they were representing their new conference in a positive way. Thanks to the mascot, people saw mixed results from the current Big 12 university. Though James Franklin and Mizzou took care of North Carolina with a 41-24 victory, Truman the Tiger, Missouri's friendly mascot, started the day by accidentally dropping the Independence Bowl trophy and shattering the crystal glass into a million pieces

The shock of the ruined trophy was put in the past when the Tigers got off to a 31-7 lead, and Zaviar Gooden made the ridiculous off-the-back interception you see above to help Mizzou secure its bowl victory. Though Truman was seen doing plenty of pushups for the heafty amount of points the Tigers hung on North Carolina, we imagine he'll have a bit of a lighter load when they face SEC opponents in the future. Maybe then he won't have so much trouble holding a trophy.
