We assume everybody has tried the Coke and Mentos trick at least once. We don't think many people have taken it to this extreme, however. Fritz Grobe and Stephen Voltz from EepyBird engineered a miniature car to travel 239 feet purely on the chemical reactions of 324 Mentos dropped in 54 bottles of Coke Zero using a piston mechanism. The original model of the car went 217 feet on 648 Mentos and 108 bottles of Coke Zero. We'll let you know when they plan to start full production.
