Danish designer Michael Ubbesen Jakobsen'sBau-Bike was inspired by the artistic principles of the Bauhaus movement and built in accordance with the movement's basic tenets. Bringing a geometry composed entirely of straight lines in a pattern of 60 and 90 degree angles in proportions following the principle of the golden section, and constructed around the geometric shape of the square and the equilateral triangle, the Bau Bike is truly piece of Bauhaus art on wheels. In addition to it's artistic value it offers a bit of actual additional utitlity, with the ability to add accessories like a second seat or bike rack.
The concept is cool and very well executed and informed, but we can't help but thinking... how comfortable can it be to ride on what is essentially one huge square?
