NFL Quick 'Caps: Week 14 Early Scores

Falcons made an impressive comeback.

Houston Texans 20, Cincinnati Bengals 19

Cinci was up 16-3 at one point in this game, but the headline is T.J. Yates leading an 80-yard drive with 2:33 to go. The Texans proved once again that they don’t need Andre Johnson to win.

Detroit Lions 34, Minnesota Vikings 28

The Lions’ 21 points in the first quarter and the Vikings’ six turnovers were far too much for Minnesota to overcome. Joe Webb replaced Christian Ponder in the third quarter and played extremely well, with two total touchdowns and 107 yards rushing.

New Orleans Saints 22, Tennessee Titans 17

The Saints escaped a threatening last-minute drive by the Titans to take one from Jake Locker in Tennessee. Marques Colston connected with Drew Brees in the endzone twice in the fourth quarter to move the Saints' win streak to five.

Philadelphia Eagles 26, Miami Dolphins 10

On paper, it was an ugly win for the Eagles in Mike Vick’s return. The crafty QB only completed 50 percent of his passes, and LeSean McCoy only accumulated 38 yards on 28 carries (his two touchdowns saved the day for fantasy owners). DeSean Jackson scored a touchdown after being accused of giving up on his team last week, and Reggie Bush put up another 100-yard game for the Dolphins.

New York Jets 37, Kansas City Chiefs 10

The Jets absolutely murdered the Chiefs, holding them to just four total yards of offense in the first half. Mark Sanchez had one of the most productive games of his career with two rushing scores and two through the air. Don’t get too excited, but the Jets have won three in a row.

New England Patriots 34, Washington Redskins 27

Rex Grossman and Roy Helu put up an honorable fight for the Redskins, but it’s hard to stop the Patriots when Rob Gronkowski continues his monstrous tear with 160 yards and two touchdowns. Gronk is now the proud owner of the NFL single-season tight end touchdown record.

Atlanta Falcons 31, Carolina Panthers 23

Today was all about comebacks. Down 23-7 at halftime, Matt Ryan manufactured 24 unanswered points in the second half with four total touchdowns. Cam Newton’s showed he's still capable of rookie mistakes with two second-half interceptions.

Jacksonville Jaguars 41, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 14

The Jags scored 28 points in one quarter and 41 total? Did somebody spike our eggnog? Nah, the Bucs just turned the ball over seven times, and Maurice Jones-Drew made it into endzone on four different occasions.

Baltimore Ravens 24, Indianapolis Colts 10

If you’re into moral victories, losing by 14 to the Ravens isn’t too bad considering the circumstances. Baltimore held the Colts to 167 total yards without Ray Lewis, and Ray Rice ran for 103 yards and a score.
