Are you excited about seeing Nickelback play during halftime of the annual Thanksgiving game this year? No, you say? Well then, fans of the Detroit Lions have got a treat for you! In order to try and force the Lions to reconsider their options—what, Slaughterhouse isn't available on Turkey Day, guys?—Lions fans have started up a petition. Here's why they've done it:
"This game is nationally televised, do we really want the rest of the US to associate Detroit with Nickelback? Detroit is home to so many great musicians and they chose Nickelback?!?!?! Does anyone even like Nickelback? Is this some sort of ploy to get people to leave their seats during halftime to spend money on alcoholic beverages and concessions? This is completely unfair to those of us who purchased tickets to the game. At least the people watching at home can mute their TVs. The Lions ought to think about their fans before choosing such an awful band to play at halftime."

I'm a fan of Nickleback but i Find it funny that they don't want to look bad in front of the nfl community by being associated with nickleback yet they don't care that they are associated with the DETROIT LIONS. the team that hasnt won a championship since '57 and lost all 16 games a couple years back... and nickleback will be what makes them look bad.

LOL...Nickleback is making YOU look bad RIGHT NOW. Nickleback is just glad that they have a captive audience to assault with their god awful music. You know what I think is ridiculous? I think it's ridiculous that, INEVITABLY, every Nickleback fan I know likes to say things like "what is all YR problem." See, "yr" is the abbreviation for the word "year." not "your." But nice try. THAT is ridiculous. If I lived in Detroit I'd sign the hell out of that petition. They can do whatever they want. No matter how bad their football team is, they still have enough sense to understand that their franchise would be destroyed if it was ever affiliated with that band. So YOU stop being ridiculous and learn to use your keyboard.
