To say Alex Rodriguez has been playing like shit during the Yankees/Tigers divisional playoff series would be a huge understatement. At one point during last night's game, the Tigers intentionally walked Robinson Cano to load the bases so that they could pitch to him instead. So when A-Rod got his first hit of the series last night, Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera was quick to pull out a joke to mark the occasion.

"After A-Rod's first hit of the series," ESPN's Buster Olney tweeted during the game, "Miguel Cabrera just looked in the Yankees' dugout and jokingly asked if they wanted the ball for him."

HA! Good one, man. But, unfortunately for Cabrera, the Bronx Bombers won 10-1 and A-Rod got the last laugh. [via Twitter]
