The Premier League, just like the rest of the world, has been all about money—and the lack thereof—these last few years. So, it was no surprise that, with wages and bonuses out of control, a Premier League club went into administration (which results in an administrator being appointed by the court to save an in-debt company from liquidation). Given the huge flow of cash into the league, it's taken gross financial mismanagement to end up in this situation—but perhaps, it will act as a necessary wake-up call for the rest of the league. Or perhaps not.
