It’s been four months since the untimely death of Virgil Abloh and now, the release of his first posthumous Off-White x Nike collab has been announced.

The sportswear brand officially confirmed today that pairs of Off-White x Nike Blazer Lows in White/University Red and Black/Electro Green colorways will hit shelves in early April. Notably, this comes “in accordance with Abloh’s wishes, and in partnership with his wife, Shannon Abloh,” Nike said. It follows the late designer’s quiet two-year battle with an aggressive form of cancer called cardiac angiosarcoma.

Abloh applied his design ethos to the Blazer Low by giving the shoes various cut-out holes throughout the uppers, exposing the foam on the tongue, and attaching the signature Off-White zip-tie to the dual shoelaces. The most notable alteration to the silhouette is the protruding heel on the midsole, which is a detail that’s inspired by the archival Nike Air Terra Humara trail running shoe.

Per Nike, this set of Off-White x Nike Blazer Lows will be released via SNKRS and at select Nike and Off-White retailers on April 8 for $140 each.

There are still more Off-White x Nike sneakers designed before his passing that are expected to receive a retail launch including a pair of Air Force 1 Mids, but no release details for the aforementioned collab have been shared.
