Digital media and technology has changed how brands connect with consumers, and not many companies do digital as well as Nike. Nike is already one of best digital brands in the world, and now it looks to get even stronger with the appointment of its first Chief Digital Officer Adam Sussman.

Nike announced the news today, which will shift Sussman from his current role as Head of Global Strategy and Development to leading all digital efforts, while reporting to Brand President Trevor Edwards. Sussman's experience includes two years with Nike, as well as stints with EA Sports, Zynga, and the Walt Disney Company. “Adam’s wealth of experience in digital, consumer technology and strategy leadership makes him the perfect person to tackle tomorrow’s challenges today. Adam is just as passionate about solving a problem for one athlete as he is introducing that innovation to a global community. 2016 promises to be a big year for the world of Nike digital, and this is just the beginning," said Edwards. We've already come to expect excellence from Nike on the digital front, and this move means even more is on the way.
