The "What Are Thooooose!?" joke, where people insult someone for an awful sneaker choice, has run its course, and it may have made its last relevant appearance ever at the 2015 MTV VMAs. A$AP Rocky, who was in a commercial, selling phones for Samsung, took a jab at the Moonman award's moon boots.
In the commercial, Rocky asks, "What are thooooose?" But he could be referring to the fact that his friend and collaborator, Jeremy Scott, ended up redesigning the footwear for this year's award with his signature wings sneakers — a piece of footwear that Rocky worked on a couple years ago — since the version in the commercial was Wing-less.
