Mash-up sneakers have become a common occurrence, and placing a different sole on another silhouette is certainly nothing new. But we've seen a lot of it lately, including a Nike Air Huarache sole put to use on a pair of Air Max 1s.

The latest concept in this vein isn't real — yet, at least — but artist Lucas Berghoef has Photoshopped the sole unit from the Nike Roshe Run NM and matched it up with a pair of black Huaraches. The outcome, surprisingly, is very clean and it has us thinking: What if this were real?

Nike has experimented with the Huarache's sole in the past. There have been Free Run iterations before, but there's never been something like this. Given Nike's track record, this could actually happen. Until then, however, all we have is this creation.
