Kevin Durant didn't wear the Nike KD 7 much this season. And now that he's shut down for the rest of the year, it's unlikely that we'll ever see him lace them up again. Even with this setback, Nike is keeping Durant's seventh signature sneaker running strong and just in time for its now-annual EYBL (Nike's Elite Youth Basketball League) edition.
Starting with the KD 3, the EYBL renditions have always had a special flare to them and that tradition continues with the KD 7 Elite. Not to be outdone by its previous counterparts, this time around sees the 7 get a metallic-like rose gold finish with a white midsole and icy outsole.
But unlike other EYBL versions, this pair will actually release to the public, becoming available on May 8 on Nike.com and select Foot Locker House of Hoops locations.
Those waiting to get a closer look at the EYBLs will see them in action as the Elite Youth Basketball League tips off this upcoming Friday, April 10, in Hampton, Va., as the organization is comprised of 40 teams and approximately 500 kids.
The retail price is set at $220, and we received an early pair here at the office. Take a look at the photos below and get ready for the anticipation that these will bring.
