If an NBA player had insane PEs, they'd be considered one of the league's best sneakerheads. Unfortunately for NFL players, they have to wear cleats on the field, but Patrick Peterson makes due. He wears custom cleats on the field that go far beyond just lacing up a pair of PEs. He's worn cleats painted with Charlie Brown, but also has real sneakers in his arsenal, too. He was more than hyped to get pairs of the Kobe "Prelude" 1s and the "What the Kobes." The two-way player even shouted out Deion Sanders, as he wore a pair of Diamond Turfs on the field. There aren't a lot of NFL players with sneaker deals, but Darrelle Revis is one of them and his Nike sneaker, the Zoom Revis, got the special sneakerhead treatment in 2013. Besides getting done up for the Oregon Ducks, DJ Clark Kent, and our brothers over at Sole Collector, it also received a makeup reminiscent of the Air Jordan II. As for Revis himself, he can be seen showing off his Air Jordan retros and even weighing on insane sneaker auctions. It also doesn't hurt that his right-hand man and manager, John Geiger, is known to wear the utmost heat and even leak sneakers before everyone else.

Few NFL quarterbacks have achieved as much success as Colin Kaepernick in such a short period of time. Even fewer reach his level of sneaker fiend, either. When Kaepernick isn't having defenses chase him all around the field, he's stacking boxes just as high as his win total in the NFL. It also didn't hurt Kaepernick's sneakerhead rep by wearing the Air Jordan "Fire Red" Vs to Media Day at last year's Super Bowl, either. If a player is willing to get fined for wearing a fly pair of cleats, it's apparent that they're way deep into sneakers, which Chicago Bears receiver Earl Bennett is. And his love for sneakers even goes down to the slightest detail. When Bennett and his teammates are chilling in the locker room, and the likes of Alshon Jeffrey and Eric Weems are wearing their team-issued Nike runners, Bennett takes the time to stunt in Olympic VIIs. But he also has the "Oregon" Air Jordan Vs, Yeezy IIs, and more KDs than most. Bennett might be considered the "Sneaker Monster of the Midway."

Darnell Dockett is one of the more interesting NFL players to follow on Instagram, and that's not even mentioning his sneaker collection. When you're a big dude like Dockett, you're going to need sneakers with a little more build. So, what Dockett's rotation lacks in runners and other lightweight sneakers, it makes up for with Air Jordan retros (incluing Doernbechers), a handful of limited CJ81 Trainers, and he was even fortunate enough to get his hands on the black Oregon IIIs. But the strongest part of Dockett's sneaker enthusiasm is his willingness to challenge his fellow sneakerheads in the NFL, such as Joe Haden, in which Dockett boasted that he doesn't have time to take pics of all his heat. But we wish he did.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have been the bottom of the barrel of the NFL for a while now, but if sneakers won games, Andre Branch would have his squad in the playoffs. That's because his collection is so diverse. Like other dudes in the league, Branch does have retro Air Jordans and high-end sneakers, but he also has the Sole Collector x Nike Zoom Revis, the Ubiq x New Balance 1600, and even some Margielas. It doesn't stop there: How many players have a pair of UNKLE Dunk His? Or the Oregon IIIs and IVs? Or both pairs of South Beach LeBrons? Not that many.

T.J. Ward went to Oregon, so it's not surprising that he has a thing for sneakers. But the now Cleveland Brown is constantly on the hunt to add new sneakers to his collection. Like other players in the league, Ward has his share of high-end sneakers, but he is one of the lucky people that that's been able to get their hands on the Oregon Air Jordans. He also mixes things up with a handful of premium LeBron Xs and even gets down with the Jeremy Scott for adidas Originals sneakers. Like any sneakerhead worth their salt, Ward has stacks and stacks of Air Jordan retros. But we'd probably assume he holds his Oregon PEs a little closer to his heart.

It's easy to not be impressed by athletes who own general-release sneakers. For one, they have more money than most of us, and brands are willing to give them whatever they want. But there are players such as Marcus Gilchrist who go and search out sneakers that can't be purchased at the local mall. The Browns aren't that great of a franchise—to put things nicely—but Joe Haden made his way to the Pro Bowl and has a grade-A sneaker collection to boot. When it comes to volume alone, no one may be able to top Haden's sneaker trove. Anyone could go on and on about Haden's amount of LeBrons, Air Jordans, and even a custom pair of black Air Mags, but the guy got married in matching "South Beach" LeBron 8s (or wore them right after). Any other sneakers that he owns come pale in comparison to covincing the woman that you're marrying to wear one of the most hyped sneakers ever on wedding day.

As one of Nike's most popular endorsers in the NFL, he's usually one of the first people to get his hands on limited releases. And Cruz isn't merely a collector of sneakers, but someone who adds something to the sneaker conversation. His relationships with the likes of Ronnie Fieg and DJ Clark Kent show how connected to some of sneaker culture's most infuential personalities. Cruz has also worked with Foot Locker, and his "Cruzday Tuesdays" have had 'heads breaking out their best pairs for the hopes of being selected by Cruz. The man, however, doesn't just limit himself to wearing any one type of sneaker.
