Today, the retro Nike Air Penny I drops. Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway had one of the sickest signature lines in Nike history, even with only a handful of shoes. If it wasn’t for his continuous knee issues, we might be celebrating the Penny 15 instead of hearing rumors about him joining a contender (Miami being one, so we’re using the word contender loosely) for the playoffs. His shoes were always great. He was a special kind of "Flight" player. So much so that MJ even sported Anfernee's Air Penny 1 shoes(with the vertical striped tongues) back in '95/'96 season. Didn't see that too often if at all-MJ sporting another's shoe. They were very comfortable shoes, maybe a little too much bounce in them as the midsoles were really thick. All in all though, Penny's shoe game is/was nice throughout his career.

As a Magic fan I was always on Penny's shoes...always fresh and fly...Memphis was wearing the Penny 1s and so did Shabazz Napier in the Big East championship game

The sweetest, most comfortable shoe I've ever own. Can't find them anywhere, searching for air penny 1, all white blue swish "originals'.

Picture #21 is the best because you also have MJ with the concords.
