Get ready for the X-Men movie you never knew you needed.

As exclusively reported by Deadline, 20th Century Fox has green lit a top secret new X-Men movie tentatively titled 143. The Hollywood Reporter is now confirming that the film is actually a spin-off focusing on Kitty Pryde, a mutant who can phase through solid objects by shifting the atoms of her body. Ellen Page played Kitty in 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand and 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past, though it's unlikely that she'll reprise her role.

Deadpool director Tim Miller will helm the movie while the acclaimed comic book writer Brian Michael Bendis will write the script. Miller should feel right at home in the X-Men universe, after Deadpool broke box office records by raking in $783 million worldwide. Miller was in the middle of pre-production of Deadpool 2 when he decided to part ways with the franchise due to disagreements with Reynolds. Bendis left Marvel for DC Comics after 17 years with the company, and this feature will mark his official return to the Marvel family.

So far, information on the new film is scarce. But after Channing Tatum's Gambit was yanked from Fox’s production schedule following Gore Verbinski's departure from the project in early January and The New Mutants was delayed until 2019, any X-Men news is good news.
