For the last 38 years, the Razzies have gone down the night before the Oscars, highlighting the worst films from the past year. It'd then make sense that the day before the Oscar nominations are given, we get the Razzie noms. And in typical AWARDS SZN fashion, people aren't feeling one selection in particular.
Honestly, it looks like five 2017 films, in particular, have hit the Razzie committee's radar: Fifty Shades Darker, Baywatch, the latest Transformers flick (which they call installment XVII), The Mummy, and Darren Aronofsky's mother!, which was polarizing when it hit theaters in September of 2017. It was given an "F" Cinemascore, which polls audience members upon seeing a film, and was seemingly misunderstood or doing too much. It currently sits at a 69 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, so there are some critics who adore the movie... they might just be few and far between.
mother! received five Razzie nominations (Worst Picture, Worst Supporting Actor, Worst Actress, Worst Director, and Worst Screenplay), and while that's understandable considering how much people disliked the film, the J-Law Hive is out in full force, and not fucking with this Razzie news at ALL.
I wouldnt usually give a shit about things like the @RazzieAwards But the fact that Jennifer Lawrence has been nominated for her performance in Mother! is ridiculous - she was *completely* astonishing in that film and deserves an Oscar nomination, if not a win.
Okay, #Razzies, I didn't like #mother! either. But #JenniferLawrence was amazing in it, and she in no way deserves your nomination.

To be fair, there were people who thought the Razzie nomation was warranted.
Jennifer Lawrence being nominated for Worst Actress in MOTHER! only proves how awful that film truly is, especially as her performance was probably the best aspect.
