On this week’s SNL cold open, Alec Baldwin returned as a hapless President Donald Trump, taking calls with world leaders and getting so visibly angry that he declares war against them.

This sketch had a lot of important issues to address, and successfully did a good job of proving a point while adding some humor to them. It touched on Mexico paying for the proposed border wall, Kellyanne Conway’s Bowling Green fiasco, the immigration ban, the White House’s statement on Holocaust Remembrance Day, and more.

Steve Bannon made a cameo as the Grim Reaper again, directing orders to President Trump to make some bad phone calls to leaders in Australia, Germany, and Zimbabwe.

Baldwin was also critiquing Trump before SNL aired:

1-Trump is, quite simply, a man who was never embraced by his hometown, by NY society. Not even middle-of-road Repubs. Always peripheral.

2- now he aims, out of spite, 2 destroy everything they hold dear. For Trump and Bannon, the ? is always,"What will drive liberal NY crazy?"

Maybe this will prove, once again, the greatness of our country: that this racist maniac (Bannon) + his dim-witted 2nd cannot bring us down

I wonder if a world-wide tourism ban against the US is next.

If this is the type of entertainment we’ll be getting from Baldwin, we can’t wait until he hosts on Feb. 11. Watch it above.
