In the wake of a horrifying armed robbery at her Paris apartment, Kim Kardashian is reportedly making some serious changes. Kardashian, who hasn't spoken publicly regarding the robbery, is said to be developing a leaner approach to her social media presence and public appearance obligations.

Kardashian is reportedly "cutting down on all public appearances for the time being," an unnamed source toldPeople Tuesday. "This scared everyone. They're not taking chances. It was a really scary situation for the entire family and it’s just not worth it to put themselves out there unnecessarily right now."

In a statement to Perez Hilton Wednesday, Kardashian makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic announced a previously scheduled makeup class in Dubai would now be rescheduled for another date in light of the robbery. "Rescheduling details will be sent out within the week," Dedivanovic said. "We deeply and sincerely apologize from the bottom of our hearts. We truly hope you all understand the decision we had to make and look forward to our upcoming class."

Sources also toldPeople Kardashian's social media and travel will likely "pare down" for the time being. "When something like this happens everything changes," the source said. "Everything will change. It changes the whole family, how and where they travel. [Kardashian] will reassess traveling for work and feeling safe."

Both Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were previously reported to be "rethinking" their security strategy, including the possible addition of undercover officers. "Their immediate need is undercover security, people who will be with them but stepped back to the side," an insider toldEntertainment Tonight Tuesday. "There are plans for many other things they'll change as well."
