Judging by the photo they took, a group of high school girls thought it was simply hilarious to spell out the N-word with their shirts on senior picture day at Desert Vista High School in Phoenix, Ariz.

One student told The Arizona Republic that a much larger group of seniors had shown up wearing shirts with letters on them to spell out "BEST *YOU'VE* EVER *SEEN* CLASS *OF* 2016," but this particular group of girls soon realized they could spell out the racial slur.

Parents apparently started freaking out when the photo began making the rounds on social media locally, then went viral.

"The students will be disciplined in accordance with district policy and while we don't discuss specific discipline I can tell you that will be addressing the obvious need for sensitivity training in this case," a school district official told ABC15.

Maybe they'll all join the same sorority next year.
