Being stung to death by bees seems like a terrible way to go. That could’ve been the fate of Garvin County Sheriff’s deputy Carl Zink, who was called after a truck carrying honeybees overturned in Pauls Valley, Okla. on the I-35 around 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Deputy Zink arrived on the scene and was swarmed by bees covering the windows of his patrol car, trapping him inside. He waited until the windows cleared before he drove away, walking away with only one bee sting.

Scott Woods, a man who helped pull the honey bee truck driver from the vehicle, wasn't so lucky."I got stung on the lip, on the end of the nose, mouth, the side of the eye and then the back," said Woods who guessed there were millions of bees. Fortunately the truck driver only suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital where he was released later.

It took officials a couple of hours and some beekeepers to clear the site.
