This 79-year-old granny proves it’s never too late to do something, like say, get your first tattoo.

Sadie Sellers, a great-grandmother living at a care home, broke out (for the second time in her stay there) with her 22-year-old granddaughter Samantha to get a tattoo. Her son, Tony Sellers, made the discovery when he went to visit her and only found an empty wheelchair in her room at the Daleview House in Londonderry, Ireland.

Sellers, a retired civil servant, got inked at Tattoo Studio 76 alongside her granddaughter. When asked what her family would think of the tattoo, an outline of a heart, the feisty grandma said,

‘I don’t f***ing care,’ before going on to say, ‘When you get to my age, you just have to live life to the full every day. I was talking about it with Samantha for a couple of weeks and she showed me hers.’

If you thought she couldn’t get even more badass you’re mistaken as Sellers reportedly didn’t even flinch during the tattoo. Sellers’ son talked about the experience and even speculated about whether or not she would be getting another.

'She’s normally very prim and proper,” said Tony about his mom, “but she does sometimes swear like a sailor behind closed doors. The lads were in stitches laughing at her - they thought she was fascinating. I think she’s already planning another one."
