Unless you're Beyonce you've probably fantasized before about what it would like to trade places with another person. It's an intriguing idea, and one Adam Sandler will explore in The Cobbler.
In the trailer we see Sandler playing a cobbler who figures out he can become another person if he wears their shoes after fixing them. A simple footwear change transforms him into Method Man (or the character Method Man plays, rather), the boyfriend of his crush, and even his deceased father.
The premise seems goofy on paper, but this is clearly going to be a different Sandler film. His character is lonely, and his newfound magical power gives him an opportunity to escape. He has the opportunity to sleep with an incredibly attractive woman by transforming into her bf, but his heart prevents him from going forward under false pretenses. We see even more of his earnestness when he allows his mother to see her deceased husband one more tiime.
Look out for the The Cobbler to hit theatres in 2015.
