I can't be mad at Kristen Stewart. Everybody gets tired of what they're doing sometimes. Even if what they're doing is pretending all day and getting paid millions to do it.
The 24-year-old actress said to USA Today that she's going to take a long break from acting in movies to "make [stuff] with my hands."
"I'm taking some time off because I've been working for two years. I'm an actor and that's my art form, and because I started that so young, I've always felt intimidated and insufficient when I think about other forms of art I want to create."
"I'm going to take so much time off. I'm going to buy a live-work space in downtown L.A. and I'm going to make some [stuff] with my hands. Literally, I made that decision a few weeks ago," she continued. "I'm making a short film. I'm making a bunch of stuff. I don't know how I'll put it out. But I'm not going to hold it so preciously close to me. I write all the time."
Not gonna lie, sounds super chill.
Kristen, if you're looking for inspiration to get started, here are a few suggestions for chill stuff you can make with your hands.
- Hamburger patties
- My Ikea shelf that's still in the box
- Finger paintings
- Clapping noises
- A little handcrafted box to keep weed in (just like in shop class)
- A sweet paper airplane
- "the bird" (flip it)
Here's the trailer for her new movie, in which she plays a Guantanamo Bay guard.
