Things have definitely changed for Fred Durst. After taking the '90s by storm with a backwards red Yankees hat and the nu metal of Limp Bizkit, it was announced yesterday that the "Nookie" singer had signed with the online dating website EHarmony to direct a series of new TV spots.
Fred's first ad is out for testing, and disappointingly, it does not feature as much direct yelling into the camera as we'd hoped. Instead, it's got all the trappings of a usual EHarmony ad: That old CEO guy, Natalie Cole's "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)," and white people.
"It was a really amazing experience," Durst told Ad Age about shooting the commercials. "The chemistry was perfect right off the bat."
I have two questions. Number one: Why? And number two: How much do you think EHarmony pays Durst to use the word "chemistry" in his interviews?
