When it was launched in 2011, Red Hood and the Outlaws was one of the riskier books of the New 52. The title centers on Red Hood, a.k.a. the second Robin, forming a group of vigilantes consisting of Starfire and Arsenal, who Arrow lovers will know as Roy Harper. The dynamic here is unlike any other team book on the shelf, and the credit has to go to writer Scott Lobdell, who balances the violence and dark humor of the series perfectly.
