Today in superhero casting rumors: Avengers Age of Ultron producers are looking to add one more fan favorite character from the comics to the film, and it's none other than Ms. Marvel. The studio's been looking to balance out the boys' club feel of their movies, and last fall it was speculated that they were looking to give Ms. Marvel her own film. Now, Latino Review alleges that she is definitely in Age of Ultron, it's just a matter of which Hollywood actress will sign up to join the Marvel Studios fold.
For the uninitiated Ms. Marvel is Carol Danvers, a major in the United States airforce who gains superhuman strength, speed and flight thanks to an energy explosion that causes her DNA to merge with Captain Marvel's. She's been affiliated with both The Avengers and the X-Men (Rogue notably permanently absorbed her powers and for a time, her memories), but of course due to that studio/rights mess she will probably never face off with the latter on the big screen. The early rumored front-runner for the role was Katee Sackhoff, best known for her role as ass-kicking fighter pilot Starbuck on SyFy's Battlestar Galactica (read: she'd be perfect).
