The 24 miniseries event Live Another Day is set to premiere this May, and as that date draws nearer more plot details are beginning to trickle out. Not much was initially known about the premise except that it would only be 12-hours while still somewhat adhering to the real-time format the series is known for; it will find Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) in London four years after the events of the series finale; and of course, trusty hacker Chloe O'Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub) will co-star.
Then a few months ago it was revealed that former cast members Secretary of Defense James Heller (William Devane) and his daughter (and former Jack Bauer love interest) Audrey Raines (Kim Raver) would appear as well. Now executive producer David Fury (who has written some of the show's best hours) may have just hinted at another big return: Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard). Almeida was last seen in Day 7,one of the show's best seasons, being taken into custody after plot twists revealed Jack's once right-hand man had ulterior, villainous motives. A scenario for his return isn't hard to imagine: probably Jack has to visit Tony in prison for information, or even better, break him out. Here are Fury's hint-laden tweets:
Just had dinner with Carlos Bernard. Read into that what you will.— David Fury (@TheDavidFury) December 13, 2013
Full disclosure - Howard Gordon, composer Sean Callery, Manny Coto and Patrick Somerville were there, too.— David Fury (@TheDavidFury) December 13, 2013
Is it May yet?
