The First Trailer for "Community" Season Five Is Here

And it's amazing.

Undeniable proof that good things really do come to those who wait. It's been about seven months since Community aired its fourth season finale, and though we've had a little bit of Parks & Recreation to fill the void, NBC's once great comedy block has been lacking majorly without Greendale's finest. However, it looks like the wait is nearly over, because NBC has finally released the first trailer for the upcoming fifth season of Community—and, no surprise, it looks amazing.

For starters, it's the first season since 2012 that features creator Dan Harmon at the helm, so you know it's going to be good. Yes, it's tragic that Donald Glover will be leaving after five episodes (to focus on his music), this season still boasts an impressive list of guest stars: Jonathan Banks, Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan, and David Cross—not to mention all of the other main castmembers, with the exception of Chevy Chase, of course, are back.

The trailer, though only running at about a minute long, manages to give us a good look at what to expect in the upcoming season: Jeff Winger (Joel McHale) has failed as a lawyer, and is forced to return to Greendale because he's desperate for a job—only this time, he's not back as a student, he's back as a professor. The best part, though, is the fact that the entire promo is designed as if it were a trailer for a film called Mr. Winger.

You can check out the promo above. Community is officially back on NBC next year, Jan. 2, 2014.
