Reason #3267 that Community should never be canceled: The Breaking Bad crossovers! According to EW, the NBC series has just landed Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan to guest star in the upcoming season.

Gilligan will reportedly play a "smooth-talking gold digger" who ends up getting caught in the middle and "exacerbating" a fight between Abed (Danny Pudi) and Annie (Alison Brie). There's no word on if his role will allow him any screentime with fellow Breaking Bad alum Jonathan Banks, who is set to play a criminology professor with a "mysterious background in military and police work" next season. It would really feel like a missed opportunity if not, though. Gus Fring himself, Giancarlo Esposito, has also guest-starred in the past.

Judging by Gilligan's IMDb page, it doesn't seem like he's acted before—which effectively makes this his acting debut. The episode is set to be filmed this week, and should air in "late winter or early spring."
