Rockstar says it’s once again delaying the Grand Theft AutoOnline stimulus package. The package is a $500,000 cash injection into player’s accounts as an apology for GTA Online’s rocky start in October.

In an update reported on VideoGamer, Rockstar said:

"Currently, we expect the next title update (1.05) addressing player progress loss issues to be available sometime early next week. Following that, we hope to deliver everyone’s GTA$ Stimulus Package before the end of next week.”

"A big thank you to GTA Online players worldwide for your continued patience and understanding and we will continue to keep you all updated."

Rockstar previously said that as a prerequisite for receiving the stimulus players needed to have created a GTA Online character sometime in the month of October. No word yet if players that start this week will get the same stimulus cash.

So if you’ve been waiting for that new shiny car with minimal effort you’re going to have to wait just a bit longer. Go make some money the good old fashioned way by rolling gangsters, robbing your local liquor store or investing the stock market.
