Parent groups who protest television have a point. Shit gets so crazy out there in the wild west of TV that not even children's programming is safe from the dirty mind of an adult illustrator. Take, for instance, every other minute of Nickelodeon's Rocko's Modern Life. But we didn't realize this as kids. References to oral sex were mere popsicle jokes that didn't land with us.

Looking back on it now, we're creeped the hell out. Cartoons run amuck with sexual innuendos that you don't even learn during high school sex-ed. Thank you, all you bored perverted animators, for tainting our childhood. These are the 25 creepiest sexual innuendo moments in kids cartoons.

Episode: "From Bad To Worse" (Season 3,Episode 13)

One of Adventure Time's more mild moments, "From Bad To Worse" features an exchange between Jake the Dog and his wife, Lady Rainicorn, where Jake apologizes for biting her. Her response? "I wanted you to bite me." Jake begins to blush and laugh nervously and can only utter an "Oh," before going silent. Lady Rainicorn may very well have a wild side, which would make sense considering her and Jake have five children together.

Episode: "Carrotblanca" (1995)

Prison sex innuendos and jokes are fairly common in cartoons. but this one gets on the list for being an OG. Towards the end of "Carrotblanca," Bugs Bunny manages to trick General Pandemonium (played by Yosemite Sam) into putting himself in jail. As Bugs heads out, Yosemite takes a look around his jail cell and sees a cellmate batting his eyelashes at him with a lustful look. Sure, what happens between the two is left to the imagination, but there's something we're much more curious about: where did the cellmate gets those slippers?

Episode: "Supersmurf" (Season 1,Episode 12)

Although Smurfette could practically control the entire Smurf village if she wanted to (she was made by Gargamel to destroy the village after all), not everyone can be manipulated by her allure. Case in point: In "Supersmurf," Smurfette attempts to reclaim a bunch of food stolen from the Smurf village by an ogre named Bigmouth. He calls Smurfette a Smurf which leads to this response: "Oh, you silly ogre. I'm not a Smurf ,I'm a Smurfette. Wanna see?" The ogre ponders the question for a moment before saying no, but what if he had said yes? The possibilities are gross.

Episode: "Golem" (Season 1,Episode 4)

As soon as the opening credits for this show appeared on your TV screen, you knew a few sexual innuendos were bound to pop up. In "Golem," Hamilton Hill High School students Nelson Nash and Bobbi "Blade" Summer are hanging out at the mall, when Nash says he wants to go for a ride. "You like that car more than me," says Summer. "Who's talking about cars?" responds Nash. The line was so blatant that the Hub Channel caught it and edited out. But an even funnier fact indirectly a part of this? Nash, Beyond's stereotypical high school athlete and bully, was voiced by Seth Green. That's right, Seth Green.

Episode: "Rock-a-Bye Bivalve" (Season 3,Episode 9)

You could interpret this entire episode as one long, running sexual innuendo. In it, Patrick and SpongeBob end up caring for a baby scallop, with the two taking on the role of father and mother, respectively. The episode's final line, where Patrick tells Spongebob they should have another one (meaning have another scallop), is the moment that's often pointed out, but we beg to differ.

The best moment from this episode is when a couple sees Patrick and Spongebob with the baby clam, and wonders how such a pairing could've occurred. At least we know that Patrick and Spongebob served as the scallop's adoptive parents. We still have no clue how Pearl, Mr. Krab's daughter, was conceived though.

Episode: "Billy and Mandy vs. the Martians" (Season 6,Episode 8)

If anything came close to being the Cartoon Network equivalent to Nickelodeon's Invader Zim, it was this show. In this episode, there's a brief moment where Irwin, the poor kid who seems to always get caught in between Billy and Mandy's shenanigans, attempts to save the latter from falling from a platform. Irwin tells Mandy to grab his hand and she says, "Ew, no way. I know where that hand has been!"

Knowing that Irwin has a crush on Mandy, one could interpret this exchange as a masturbation reference. Let's be honest: Irwin can barely contain himself when it comes to Mandy, flirting with her every chance he gets. Poor Irwin. Not only is his mom a mummy (look it up, it's true), but he can't even get the girl he probably thinks of during his "personal special time."

Episode: "Next Time, Phone Ahead" (Season 1,Episode 11)

A clear sign that a sexual innuendo has occurred in a cartoon is when some sort of suggestive music plays. Such happens in this episode, when Freakazoid meets a dumb alien and, during their adventure, the two take a break to eat carrots. Freakazoid tells the alien that carrots can give someone x-ray vision and, at that moment, a girl who has been standing in the back of the scene immediately runs off. Just as she disappears, the suggestive music begins to play.

Episode: "Prank Call of Cthulu" (Season 5,Episode 6)

Billy and Mandy were pretty bad. In this episode, Mandy tells Billy how his mouth looks like some "sort of cuttlefish." Billy says that chicks dig cuttlefish and Mandy responds, "And your mouth looks like a big, disgusting sucker." Billy replies with "Chicks dig" and is interrupted by Grim who says, "Don't go there."

Now, a "big, disgusting sucker" can mean many things, but considering Grim, a guy who personifies death, has to stop Billy from going on, says a lot. Thanks, Grim. You're violent but you're also ethical at times, too.

Episode: "Super Friends" (Season 4,Episode 4)

Considering Craig McCracken also wrote some episodes for Dexter's Laboratory, it makes sense that McCracken, the creator of The Powerpuff Girls, put some sexual allusions in this show. One that immediately comes to mind is in "Super Friends," where the Powerpuff Girls bring a friend to their home. The sisters introduce their friend to the professor, and proceed to tell her how an "accident" made by the professor resulted in their being. The professor laughs it off but then becomes quiet when the friend says, "Don't worry, professor. I was a mistake, too." It's the look on the professor's face that twists the line. But on another note, it's such a bummer that this girl has been called a mistake. Not cool, anonymous, fictional parents. Not cool.

Episode: "Eclipsed" (Season 2,Episode 13)

This one is so obvious that it's really hard to believe censors didn't notice it. In an exchange between The Flash and Hawkgirl, the former brags about how he's the fastest man alive, leading to a hilarious response from the latter: "Which might explain why you can't get a date." Yes, The Flash has got the speed, but what about the endurance and stamina? Hawkgirl seems to think he's lacking in those departments.

Episode: "When Wedding Bells Thaw" (Season 1,Episode 17)

This one from Adventure Time is just as great as the one with Jake and Lady Rainicorn. In this episode, Finn and the Ice King have a brief exchange where the latter tells the former he "just finished tying up his wife." Finn's response? "Your wife is into that?" First it was half rainbow/half unicorn creatures that like getting bit, and now we're dealing with wives that may or may not be into bondage. Looks like Adventure Time is trying to tell parents something: Having a wild side is good.

Episode: "Something's A Ms." (Season 2,Episode 13)

This episode features one of the most well-known sex jokes from The Powerpuff Girls. Sedusa, disguised as Ms. Bellum, leans over the Mayor's desk as he's writing something. Upon looking up at Ms. Bellum, he breaks his pencil. She then helps him sharpen his pencil and we see him with an overly happy look on his face, until he pulls back his pencil and sees that it has been significantly shortened.

It can be any more obvious. The thirst is so real for the Mayor that after finding out it was Sedusa playing Ms. Bellum the entire time, he goes to the city jail to visit her. No shame, Mayor. No shame.

Episode: "Eeny Meeny Miney Ed" (Season 2,Episode 1)

Sometimes an innuendo doesn't need to occur during an interaction between characters. Sometimes it can appear as a sticky note in a bathroom. In this episode, if one looks closely enough at the sticky notes scattered in in Edd's bathroom, they'll see one note that says, "Don't touch yourself." We all know what that means and if you don't, the Divinyls made an entire song dedicated to it. Looks like Edd doesn't clean up after himself when he's quenching his sexual urges, and now the entire world knows.

Episode: "Momdark" (Season 3,Episode 2)

The moment that occurs in this episode is simultaneously funny and sad. Mandark, disguised as Dexter's mom, attempts to sneak into Dexter's lab. As he makes his way to Dexter's room, Dexter's father sees him, and asks him if he's coming to bed. (Remember, Mandark is dressed as Dexter's mother.) Mandark says that a roast is burning, and therefore will have to sleep downstairs, which leads to Dexter's father responding, "Aw, come on. That's what you always say!" Looks like Dexter's mom and dad haven't had marital relations in awhile, which is probably why his dad has "special bathroom privacy time."

Episode: "Bravo Dooby-Doo" (Season 1,Episode 3)

What's great about this moment, which happens on the Johnny Bravo/Scooby-Doo crossover episode, is that it plays on an unspoken belief generations of kids turned adults have always thought: Fred and Daphne are totally doing it whenever they split up with the gang. When Daphne plans to split up with Velma in the episode, Fred quickly interrupts, rolling his eyes in a way that let's you know he's frustrated. Plus, there's that blaring horn that signals that a naughty joke is occurring.

Sure, Johnny, you didn't get Daphne, but you did give us an answer to something we've been wondering about for years. Thanks, man.

Episode: "Hercule Yakko" (Season 1,Episode 25)

Animaniacs ran rampant with innuendos, but this moment was especially memorable. Yakko asks Dot to look for fingerprints. She complies and moments later calls out, "I found prints!" The scene cuts to Dot holding musician Prince, which leads to Yakko saying, "No, no, no. Fingerprints!" Oddly, Dot responds, "I don't think so," beforing throwing the musician out of a window. No Dot, he didn't mean "finger Prince."

Episode: "The Day The Ed Stood Still" (Season 3,Episode 11)

Unlike the sticky note in Edd's bathroom, the moment is more than obvious here. From the dirty magazines to the balled-up tissues under Eddy's bed, it seems that he also likes to quench his sexual urges. What's best is just how nonchalant Edd is about being surrounded by Eddy's pleasure tissues. (Although if he acknowledged this in the cartoon, this scene probably wouldn't exist.)

Episode: "The Boys Are Back In Town" (Season 5,Episode 8)

This one is a low blow for guys because, well, it's accurate. Not knowing how to defeat the Rowdyruff Boys, the Powerpuff Girls are almost about to give up their battle with them, until Blossom realizes their true weakness. "Whenever their masculinity is threatened, they shrink in size," Blossom says. In context, it's easy to see how this could go over people's heads (they're literally trying to shrink the boys), but come on. This has sexual innuendo written all over it.

Episode: "Johnny Bravo and the Amazon Women" (Season 1,Episode 1)

In one of the most clever moments on the list, Johnny ends up in some village filled with Amazon Women and, through the suggestion of Christopher, a purple elephant that is an ally to the Amazon Women, is offered as a virgin sacrifice to Athena. As they throw Johnny into the volcano, he is immediately rejected, which leads to the volcano erupting and destroying the village. The implication here: Johnny's done the dirty way too many times.

Episode: "At The Drive In," Season 1 Episode 4

In this episode, there's a moment where the dogs, who are at a drive-in, are bored and don't understand why people like going there. The camera then zooms out, showing an entire parking lot filled with shaking, creaking cars. As a child, this one went right past you (it obviously went unnoticed by censors), but now that you're revisiting it, the reference couldn't be more obvious.

Episode: "Road Rash" (Season 2, Episode 4)

Rocko's Modern Life wouldn't be the show it is without all the dirty parts. This one, taken from "Road Rash," was so inappropriate that it was removed from reruns. The entire scene is one large FCC nightmare, as Rocko and Heffer rent a room at the "No Tell Motel," where it's implied that the motel is used for prostitution. It gets even better: Upon telling the front desk clerk that they'll need a room until the next day, the clerk whistles and goes, "OK," before stating that another room won't be available for that amount time. As if you needed further proof that this scene was a sex fest, just listen to all the bed creaks happening.

Episode: "Canned" (Season 1, Episode 8)

If any show deserves a back-to-backs spot on this list, it's Rocko's Modern Life. You've probably seen this moment a million times: Upon getting fired from his job at the comic book store, Rocko takes up an assortment of jobs, including being a phone sex operator. To an adult, all of the hints are there: the advice paper that says, "Be hot, be naughty, be courteous," and what Rocko is saying to his customer (turns out to be Mrs. Bighead), makes it very obvious that phone sex is happening. Too bad Mrs. Bighead didn't get her fix, though.

Episode: "Chowder and Mr. Fugu" (Season 1, Episode 12)

We could be reading too much into this one, but there are so many signs. In this episode of Chowder, the title character buys an ice cream for himself and Mr. Fugu (some strange-looking tomato monster). The ice cream, which is phallic-looking, tells Chowder to poke a hole in him and suck the cream from the bottom. Upon telling the ice cream that this is a good idea, the ice cream says, "Tell that to my wife." Oral sex jokes on a kids' show! Classy.

Episode: "Buffalo Gals," (Season 2, Episode 20)

The standout moment in this episode of Cow and Chicken was so controversial that it only aired once. The scene featured a biker gang named the Buffalo Gals, that broke into Cow and Chicken's house and began to eat their carpet. Carpet munching is, well, a term used for cunnilingus. Naturally, Cartoon Network canning the episode. This is what people mean when they say too much TV is bad for kids.

Episode: "Sven Hoek" (Season 2, Episode 4)

Of course an episode from Ren and Stimpy is at the top of our list. The moment comes towards the second half of the episode, when Stimpy and Ren's cousin, Sven, are hanging out in a closet. As they're about to engage in an activity, Stimpy looks at the camera and says, "Hey, this is private." Sven slams the closet door and you can only hear what the two are doing. It's hard not to imagine what's going on, considering Stimpy says, "I'm a sword swallower," implying that Stimpy is performing fellatio on Sven. Nothing like unsolicited sex ed for kids.
