5 Lessons Learned on Last Night's "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" (Season 2, Episode 17)

K. Michelle Says Goodbye

We were reminded about 1,000 times that K. Michelle dropped her debut album, Rebellious Soul, this week, and last night it was confirmed that the Memphis-bred singer would be leaving Atlanta and relocating to New York. There, she’ll try to add some much needed energy and comic relief to Love and Hip Hop: New York. K says she’s not really interacting with her New York castmates, instead filming solo scenes to set up her own reality show. I’m not sure if producers will waste K’s slick mouth that way, but if she does, that’ll likely be a relief to the struggling artists featured on that show.

Before K. Michelle left, she performed her brown liquor-inspired first single, “V.S.O.P.” If you’re into brown liquor and soul music, the track is worth your dollar and two-step. That said, bye K. Michelle. We’ll miss you shaking southern tables.

P.S. That one background singer who basically just talked to K. Michelle vs. singing: You just inspired Arianne to keep on, keeping on with her singing dreams.
