The Center for Disease Control and Prevention says that binge drinking costs the economy over $220 billion each year. Opting to get granular with it, the Atlantic broke that number down to $1.90 per drink—if drinks are less than $2, no wonder everyone's wasted.
Furthermore, $160 billion worth of that hole is the direct result of employees being too wasted to do their jobs well. To that, we say cheers to the freakin' weekend and keep the party going as long as you can today, because tomorrow morning is going to be a very rude awakening.
Unless, that is, you were smart enough to use that vacation time and take off.
