According to Deadline, CBS has ordered a comedy pilot from creator David E. Kelley, titled Crazy Ones, starring Robin Williams. The series will be a single-camera show, and it will follow a father and daughter duo who works in the world of advertising. Williams has mostly abandoned television pursuits over the last few years in favor of movies, but the network and Kelley must have put something solid together to get him to agree to it.

Casting is still underway for the role of the daughter, and there is no premiere date window as of yet. But with How I Met Your Mother ending over the next year, and other series like Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory getting up there in age, CBS is going to have to reload its comedy block with quality programming soon enough.
