Authors: Zak Smith, Steve Erickson

Say what you will, but you certainly can't accuse the man of false advertising. Smith delivers exactly what he promises with over seven-hundred images interpreting the events of Pynchon's notoriously challenging novel.

We imagine the story of what motivated Smith to undertake this project is probably even more engaging than the striking drawings that fill the book. Sure, stumbling across Smith's book prompted us to wonder aloud "Who would do that?" but it was in a tone composed of equal parts confusion and admiration.
