Michael Fassbender is set to portray legendary novelist Thomas Wolfe in the upcoming Genius, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film, which is based on A. Scott Berg's National Book Award winning Max Perkins: Editor of a Genius, will mainly revolve around Wolfe and his editor, Max Perkins, who "developed a tender, complex friendship that changed the lives of both men forever." Colin Firth is set to portray Perkins.
As for production, award-winning British theatre director/producer Michael Grandage is set to direct, and Skyfall writer John Logan penned the script for the film.
