Trailer Park: Batman Squares Off Against The Man Of Steel In "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2"

Frank Miller's masterpiece wraps up in style.

Courtesy of MTV, we have our first look at the trailer for Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2. This animated movie adapts the second half of Frank Miller’s watershed graphic novel, The Dark Knight Returns, and it deals with an aging Batman trading blows with the Joker and Superman, who is now nothing but a tool for the government.

In this trailer we get a glimpse at the titanic fight between the Caped Crusader and the Man of Steel in the streets of Gotham City. We also finally get to see the Joker in all of his psychotic glory as he will be voiced by Lost’s Michael Emerson. He will be joining Mark Valley as Superman, Ariel Winter as Robin, and Peter Weller reprising his role as Batman.

If Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2 is anywhere near as good as the first part, then we could have a Batman adaptation that could give the Christopher Nolan movies a run for their money.

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2 will be released in early 2013.
