People will go to great lengths to get out of paying traffic tickets, including blaming it on the impending end of the world. A man in Russia's Kemerovo region was issued a ticket over the summer following a minor car accident, and is using the Mayan's prediction to get out of a $32 ticket.
The man wrote a 10-page explanation for why he shouldn't have to cough that money up. According to him, his payment will amount to nothing with doomsday coming at the end of the year. He even has graphs and illustrations to prove his point.
We doubt this will help his case. Just pay the ticket, dude.
