According to Digital Spy, Marvel Studios will be putting out a direct-to-DVD anime feature titled Iron Man: Rise of Technovore featuring Tony Stark battling against Ezekiel Stane. The project will be co-produced by Madhouse and Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan, and it will hit stores in the spring, most likely just in time for the release of Iron Man 3.

"Marvel is excited to present an all-new Iron Man adventure featuring the high-tech adrenaline he is known for, in the beautifully rendered anime style of our friends at Madhouse," said producer Megan Thomas Bradner. "We'll get to see familiar Marvel superheroes such as War Machine, Nick Fury, Black Widow, Hawkeye and The Punisher, rendered in anime style for the first time. It's a 'can't miss' for any Marvel fan."

We’re assuming this feature will take place in the same universe as the previous Iron Man Anime that aired on G4 recently. There will be more details about this upcoming project at the New York Comic-Con this weekend.
