The 25 Hottest Women On Horror TV Shows

Tonight, ABC is pinning the success of the rest of it's spring season on the a hopeful spooky newcomer: The River. Created by Paranormal Activity director Oren Peli and Michael R. Perry, the found-footage horror series follows a team documenting their search for the mysteriously disappeared famed explorer Dr. Emmett Cole (Bruce Greenwood). Given the buzz already surrounding the series, it looks poised to add itself to the roster of the scariest TV shows of all time. And its cast isn't slacking in appeal either.

Alongside her slew of male co-stars, Eloise Mumford is looking to be one of the breakout scream queens (on the small screen) of the 2011-2012 season, a welcome addition to the growing list of horror hotties on shows like True Blood, The Walking Dead, and American Horror Story. Of course, we've kept tabs on the women who've made us sweat in both fearful anxiety and steamy sex appeal. Show: The Walking Dead
In the hit AMC horror series, Cohan plays Maggie Greene, the horseback riding farmer’s daughter whose combination of toughness and compassion we can’t help but be charmed by. Nevermind her initially off-putting tomboyish appearance, we can take comfort in the fact that she can hold her own during a zombie apocalypse (and get it on in a pharmacy).

Show: Friday the 13th: The Series
Not to be confused with the Friday the 13th movies, the TV show followed the life of Micki, played by Robey, as she took over her uncle's antique shop. However, don't be fooled by her pleasant and accessible face and the fact that this sounds like a show your parents would be interested in on PBS; her uncle sold his soul to the devil and all the antiques became haunted.

Show: The River
ABC’s highly anticipated new horror series premieres tonight, and if its found-footage format makes you nauseous, at least you have one person you can focus your eyes on: Eloise Mumford. Already characterized as the “sexy and resourceful” one of the show, Mumford’s Lena Landry is also the adventurous helicopter pilot unrelenting in her quest to solve the show’s central mystery: the disappearance of Dr. Emmet Cole (Bruce Greenwood).

Show: Hammer House Of Horror, “Rude Awakening”
British actress Lucy Gutteridge showed off her acting chops in "Rude Awakening" as a sexy secretary named Lolly. In the installment, Gutteridge kept audiences engaged in deciphering the plot through her series of persona changes, which ranged from everything from a ditzy blond to a punk rocker.

Show: Scooby Doo, Where Are You?
Scooby Doo’s Daphne might be the only animated character we find more attractive than its live-action counterparts (Sarah Michelle Gellar and Kate Melton). Regardless of her nickname, “Danger-prone Daphne,” her appealing mix of playful red hair, excellent fashion sense, and flair for the unknown made her the prototype for the woman we’d hope to end up with, at least when we were kids.

Show: Supernatural
We don’t know how anyone wouldn’t find the witch turned demon Ruby charming in the supernatural (pun, obvious) series. After all, she did seduce a demon hunter, revealed herself a conniving traitor, and subsequently raised hell. OK, so the devil inside her had some issues, but we’ve got to give it credit for its fine taste in human hosts: first Katie Cassidy in season three, followed by Genevieve Padalecki in season four.

Show: Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Argue all you want about how Kristy Swan was the supreme, O.G. Buffy Summers, but the versatile Sarah Michelle Gellar was the one who provided us seven full seasons of sexy vampire slaying. From staking bloodsuckers to even sucking face with a couple of them, Gellar's Buffy gave thriller-thirsty audiences (including sadomasochism enthusiasts) a nice alternative to 7th Heaven and Dawson's Creek.

Show: Harper’s Island
Producers couldn’t have picked a better actress to portray the troubled maid-of-honor (of the wedding central to the murder-mystery plot) than Gina Holden. With Holden’s pretty yet porcelain facade, the actress aptly embodied the character of Shea Allen, the bride-to-be’s externally flawless older sister who internally struggled with a bratty daughter and a problematic marriage.

Show: Supernatural
As a recurring guest star in the second and fifth season on the series, Alona Tal took on the role of Jo Harvelle, the girl series creator Eric Kripke described as “an innocent girl who wanted to be a hunter.” During her stint on the series, the Israeli actress matures from an impulsive girl-next-door to a tough and willingly self-sacrificial expert hunter, a role the show’s fans were excited for her to reprise in the current, seventh season.

Show: Tales From The Crypt, “The Thing From The Grave”
As the beautiful Stacy in "The Thing From The Grave" episode, Hatcher fell for her sensitive and kind photographer, who vowed to protect her from an abusive ex-boyfriend and current agent, even in death. The idea of eternally laying claim to a chick like Teri Hatcher is plausible, but the fact that her character was a supermodel makes it almost expected.

Show: True Blood
In the hit HBO show, Paquin plays the series' main attraction amongst a roster of supporting hotties, the telepath Sookie Stackhouse. As it follows, Sookie is sought after by everyone in the show, both for her looks and her fairy powers. With that said, it's probably a plus that her powers make her immune to a vampire's mental manipulation.

Show: The Twilight Zone, “Twenty Two”
The highly underrated Barbara Nichols starred in the episode "Twenty Two" as the stripper exotic dancer Liz Powell. In addition to developing a slight crush, albeit post mortem, on the actress, we also developed a phobia of hearing the phrase "There's room for one more," especially while entering an elevator or plane.

Show: Harper’s Island
When you’re nicknamed “The Flirt,” you know karma’s probably going to come claim you. As Chloe Carter, Richardson played the bride’s promiscuous and impulsive bridesmaid who teased death with her curiosity for serial killers. Despite the inherent danger in getting involved with her, Richardson was aesthetically irresistible as Chloe.

Show: American Horror Story
Now inarguably known as one of the scariest TV shows of all time, FX's haunted house drama took karma to another level, literally. As the beautiful but bat-shit crazy Hayden, Kate Mara (one half the lovely and talented Mara sisters) played cheating husband Ben’s desperate and eventually undead and vengeful mistress who relentlessly attempts to foil all of his plans to repair his broken family.

Show: Masters Of Horror, “Deer Woman”
Deer are known to be beautiful, peaceful, and often skittish creatures. But if you're half woman with the legs of the deer, like Moura's character in Deer Woman then you are beautiful and sexually arouse men before trampling them to death with your powerful hind legs. Friendly reminder: Bestiality isn't a socially acceptable option in the real world.

Show: Thriller
She's best known for Bewitched, but the charming blond starred in other supernatural shows, namely Thriller. As Roz in the horror-comedy, Montgomery deals with her stay at a house full of vampires as a joke, thinking the family was only trying to scare her and her husband. If only she could've twitched her nose to get out of there.

Show: Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Before she made her more mainstream debut in 2000's Bring It On, Dushku was already a beloved fanboy antihero. As Faith, the sardonic Slayer teetering the line between good and evil, Dushku deliciously compensated for the reckless abandon Buffy lacked and would periodically reinvigorate the show with its much needed edginess when Buffy would inadvertently make even her most nefarious adversaries fall in love with her.

Show: Dexter
You would think that Dexter's idea of a perfect woman would be a lot like him: a sociopath. But when Dexter's Narcotics Anonymous sponsor/mistress, Lila, revealed herself to be a little too criminally similar to him, suffice it to say, it was kind of a turn off for the serial killer.

Show: True Blood
To be honest, Complex-approved dime Janina Gavankar’s Luna Garza is kind of a waste of a “skinwalker” on True Blood. Realistically, no one would want her to use her ability of shapeshifting in the form of another human being when her true self is more appealing than about 90% of the world's human population.

Show: Harper’s Island
Harper’s Island really makes you hate dramatic irony. Another heartbreakingly beautiful potential victim of the show: David Cassidy's daughter, actress Katie Cassidy. As the poised and wealthy Trish Wellington, Cassidy was nicknamed “the bride-to-be,” with her wedding on the island being the inadvertent catalyst for a series of murders.

Show: American Horror Story
To women on the show, Breckenridge’s character, the phantom housekeeper Moira O’Hara, took the form of her older, haggard self (played by Frances Conroy). To men on the show and consequently the TV audience from their perspective, O’Hara was simply Breckenridge in a seductive maid outfit, complete with sexily gratuitous girdle shots and girl-on-girl action.

Show: Twin Peaks
Sherilyn Fenn was everyone’s favorite high school femme fatale. As the young yet alluring Audrey Horne, Fenn had an insatiable urge for troublemaking, including a number of infamously plot-twisting scenes in the popular series that followed the murder of a popular homecoming queen. Noted for her 1950s pin-up girl mystique, Fenn was credited as the embodiment of sexuality in the show.

Show: Dark Shadows
Dark Shadows was the first Gothic soap opera and had the first ghosts in daytime television (not real ghosts, we assume). Thanks to Dark Shadows, Nancy Barrett became a horror series favorite. In the show, the hauntingly beautiful blond played the troubled daughter Carolyn, as well as other characters through the show's five-year run.

Show: True Blood
For someone whose character is also known as the “virginal vampire,” Woll perfectly embodies the ultimate tease, Jessica Hamby. Week after week, viewers watch helplessly in front of a TV screen as “the homely girl oblivious to her hormone-raging sex appeal” struggles with her vampirehood and her carnal urges.

Show:Twin Peaks
Madchen Amick makes our list by default. Despite the murder mystery series being fully casted, producers loved her audition so much that they wrote in a new, albeit tragic, part for her. As Shelly Johnson, a diner waitress and high school drop-out caught between a loveless, abusive marriage and a passionate yet dangerous affair with another man, Amick seemed to be the ideal combination of small-town vulnerability and otherworldly sex appeal.
