J. Cole Puts a Halt to 'F*ck Lil Pump' Chant at Show: 'Don't Do That'

J. Cole also spit "1985" a cappella.

The fuck chants continue.

During his JMBLYA 2018 set over the weekend, J. Cole decided to intervene when his fans launched into an impromptu round of "Fuck Lil Pump!" In footage of the halted chant, a few fans can also be heard handing out the same sentiment to 6ix9ine, who was recently given the distinction of being a "rainbow-headed ass bitch" by Bhad Bhabie.

"Nah, nah, don't do that," Cole told the crowd when the Pump chant kicked off. "Don't do that. Don't say that."

Naturally, Cole then hit fans with some a cappella "1985."

The chant has a similar ring to it as the one that's been heard at recent Smokepurpp shows. As previously reported while gleefully typing the word fuck an exorbitant amount of times, fans at last month's Greensboro stop on Smokepurpp's Monster Energy Outbreak Tour were not advised to cease chanting when they started screaming "Fuck J. Cole!"

Still, Cole maintains that the lyrical content of "1985" isn't actually directed at a single artist. Instead, Cole explained to Vulture in a recent interview, it's "really a 'shoe fits' situation." Multiple people, he added, could potentially wear that shoe.
