Bow Wow Defends Lil Tay: 'She Just Playing a Role'

"She tryna' capitalize off the internet."

Nine-year-old internet personality Lil Tay has been getting a lot of attention for her social media antics, and it's pretty much been of the negative variety.

The social media star, who is associated with the 18-year-old YouTuber claiming to be black, Woah Vicky, has posted multiple videos of her counting stacks of money in lavish cars. Recently, Tay's mother, Angela Tian, was fired from her real estate job for allegedly letting Tay pretend the homes she posed in were hers on social media, but Bow Wow thinks the hate and drama surrounding her isn't justified.

Speaking with TMZ, Bow Wow said, "She was probably just wanting to entertain the world." He goes on to explain his stance on the kid, adding, "She just playing a role, she tryna' entertain. [...] She tryna' capitalize off the internet."

He seems to be pretty chill about the whole thing, despite how bizarre it all is. Bow Wow even offered her a chance to be on his new show.

Writing to her former boss, the Vancouver-based social media star's mother reportedly wrote "some people don't get the joke," in a WeChat message. It's not exactly clear what the joke is, though.

Tay also recently found herself in a beef with 15-year-old rapper Bhad Bhabie, aka the"Cash Me Ousside" girl Danielle Bregoli.

Yeah, we feel old, too.
