03 Greedo: 'I’m Bigger Than 2Pac. Period.'

03 Greedo reiterated his issues with Pac.

In case you’re wondering: 03 Greedo hasn’t changed his position on 2Pac.

During a recent appearance on TMZ's Raq Rants, the Watts-bred rapper doubled down on his claims that the late, great Pac wasn’t an authentic artist, and was far from the tough guy he portrayed himself to be.

“2Pac is a legend as far as making music and making movies. But he also makes it hard for artists from the West Coast to come out. People want us to, like, live up to him […] because that’s almighty Pac,” Greedo told host Raquel Harper around the 7:20 mark in the video below. “I’m making way more music than he had. I’m talking about real life—ain’t nothing fabricated. His was fabricated."

When Harper challenged Greedo’s statement, the rapper didn’t retreat.

“It’s definitely fabricated. I’m a street dude, I’mma tell you. I know how he got killed,” he said. “Look, bro, this man—as far as streets—was a weirdo. I’m from Watts. Compton and Watts people know the real [story] about 2Pac.”

He continued: “I’m not here to disrespect no dead people […] I don’t have to kiss nobody’s ass. I’m bigger than 2Pac. Period.”

Bold statement.

Greedo also touched on ending his longstanding beef with rapper RJ, as well as his recent 20-year prison sentence for drug and weapons-related charges. The Wolf of Grape Street artist claimed he was innocent and insisted he was getting locked up because he refused to “snitch.” But despite his impending sentence, Greedo seemed pretty confident that his career will not take a hit. In fact, he said he believes it will lead to more success, as he intends to release a slew of projects while he’s behind bars. Those projects include a number of solo albums, as well as joint efforts with Cardo, Hit-Boy, Young Benz, G Perico, and more.

“I’m finna drop 30 albums […] This is like Gucci Mane on steroids,” he said. “My daughter is gonna be good.”
